The North East River
Yacht Club (NERYC) shall furnish moorings and slips for rental by club
members who have paid their dues in full by January 1st
The
period of this contract shall be from April 1st to November 31st. Slips
will be available on or about April 1st. Moorings will be available on
or about May 1st. Moorings must be vacated by November 1st. Slips
must be vacated by December 1st. Any boat occupying a slip or mooring
after these dates without permission will be in violation of this contract and subject to
a daily charge of $10.
The
NERYC will endeavor to honor your request for a particular slip or
mooring, but the club does have the right to make any changes it
finds necessary in order to accommodate the greatest number of boats. Slip and mooring assignments are governed by length, beam, electrical
requirements etc.
Slips
will be provided with water and one 30 amp electrical connection. An
additional
charge of $90 (2005) will be levied on boats requiring either a 2x30 amp sources or
boats using built in air conditioning systems.
Dinghy rack space and motor storage rack space is available at no
charge to mooring holders. Other club members will be charged $78 (2005) for
a space on the dinghy rack which includes a space on the motor rack. Please label your space on the racks with your mooring/slip number or
boat name.
It is
understood that there will be no other services provided by NERYC
beyond those listed above.
Members must provide their own boat property and liability insurance
for boat berthed at NERYC. Proof of said insurance MUST accompany each
signed contract. Members will be held responsible for any damage to
docks, moorings etc caused by negligence.
Under
no circumstances may a slip or mooring holder sub-lease or loan their
slip/mooring to another member without the written permission of the
Dock Master. Any such arrangement will be under the control and
jurisdiction of NERYC. Further information regarding sub-leasing is
contained in your Member’s Manual (see slip/mooring sub-leasing
policy, revised February 2001).
A
member vacating a slip/mooring for an extended period (3 or more days)
will notify the Club by calling the office @ 410 287 6333 and leaving
the appropriate message. NERYC reserves the right to utilize said
slip/mooring during the regular tenant’s absence.
A
service known as KEYKEEPER is available to any slip/mooring holder who
wishes to make a key available to NERYC for emergency entry of their
vessel.
The
member shall not hold NERYC and/or the Board of Governors and/or their
agents responsible for any damage, acts of God, or loss of any type to
his/her boat and/or contents and forever discharges the NERYC, the
Board of Governors and/or its agents from all manner of action, causes
of action, suits, debts, contracts, controversies, agreements,
promises, variances, trespasses, judgments, extant, executions, claims
and demands whatsoever whether in law or equity against said NERYC
while their following described vessel and its contents has been
placed with NERYC for storage or any other reason.
PROHIBITED ON/AROUND DOCKS:
-
Swimming, except at
moorings and at the beach near the dinghy
dock and rack.
- Open Fires or charcoal grills.
- Playing of loud audio equipment.
White
dock boxes approved by the Dock Master are permitted.
When
vacating your slip/mooring for the winter, you are required to remove
all lines, hoses, electrical cords, fenders and any other personal
gear. You are also required to remove dinghies and motors from the
racks. After December 1st, the disposition of the above will be at the
discretion of NERYC.
You
must vacate your mooring by November 1st (no exceptions). You may,
however, move your boat to an unoccupied slip until December 1st, with
the permission of the Dock Master. All slips must be vacated by
December 1st.
Payment:
Slips
50% deposit is required with return of contract by October 1st.
Remaining 50 % is billed to your NERYC account & is payable by January
31st.
Moorings
Payment in full with return of contract by October 31st.
Please
note:
Proof of current property & boat liability insurance must accompany
this contract.
