neryc annual fall opti regatta
Green, RWB Fleet Racing
North East River Yacht Club is located at the very top of the
Chesapeake Bay, with fresh open water and great spectating from
shaded grassy areas. There is plenty of parking for all cars and
trailers attending a big regatta. Unloading and rigging of
boats on grass, and boats are dollied along a wooden walkway to
a small sandy beach launch area with a floating ramp. Coach
boats can be launched at a nearby ramp just a couple blocks
away. There is plenty of space to tie-up coach boats at the
club once they have been launched.
NERYC has a nice covered patio, grassy picnic area by the
water, and wide floating docks to spectate from while sailors
are out sailing and to enjoy afterwards. There is no formal
food service available, but there is a nearby waterfront
restaurant, convenience stores, gas stations, drug stores or
hardware stores a short 5 minutes away.
Awards: Awards for 1st-3rd, plus participation awards to all Green Fleet sailors. Additional prizes and/or give-aways may be awarded.
